2017 AFC Wildcard Playoff Games
The Oakland Raiders will travel to Houston and play the AFC South champion Texans in one wildcard game, while the Miami Dolphins will head north to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers in the other. The Raiders, who lost to the Broncos Sunday, blew a chance to secure the second seed and a bye week in the AFC Playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Chargers in their final game of the regular season to clinch the number 2 seed.
Oakland lost backup quarterback Matt McGloin to a shoulder injury in the second quarter today, however things do not appear serious, and he should be ready to go next week. Texans backup Tom Savage suffered a concussion against the Titans today, which means Brock Osweiler could play a prominent role in the Texans playoff hopes next weekend.
The hottest team in the AFC without question are the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Antonio Brown and Ben Rothlisberger on the sidelines, Pittsburgh pulled out an overtime win against Cleveland today to finish 11-5 and winners of 7 straight. They host the Dolphins, who were blown out at home by New England 35-14.
The times and dates for all games have not been confirmed as of posting, however we will update that information shortly.
