Former Texans Wide Receiver Andre Johnson is no longer in the NFL, but his work off the field is more valuable than any catch. Wednesday, Johnson was back in Houston, taking a group of selected kids from Child Protective Services on a mini shopping spree at Toys R’ Us. Through The Andre Johnson Charitable Foundation, Johnson spent nearly $20,000 in toys for the kids.

Just last month, Johnson provided thanksgiving meals to feed 1500 families in Houston. In this age of negativity, stories like this often don’t get the publicity they deserve.
