Cam Newton gets no calls, period. We aren’t fans of Newton or the Panthers, but it’s hard to justify the number of plays in which Newton has been hit this season and no flag was thrown. The latest occurred Monday night against Washington. Newton was sliding out of bounds, and was hit in the head by Trent Murphy.

Twitter reacts to Cam Newton’s lack of calls
At this point Cam Newton could get shot on the field and they'd flag him for interfering with the bullet.

One day Cam Newton is gonna die on the field & get called for delay of game

Whether you love or hate Cam, these stats don’t lie:
Cam Newton is 20-5 (.800) in December/January starts in last 6 seasons
Only QB better in span
Peyton Manning (12-2)
Russell Wilson (18-4)

The Panthers have an outside chance to make the playoffs at 6-8, however there is no doubt Newton is the heart and soul of this team. They go as he goes, and unfortunately the refs tend to have distorted vision whenever he plays. The Panthers host the NFC South leading Falcons Saturday in a critical playoff matchup for both teams. Atlanta put on an offensive clinic in the 48-33 win in Atlanta in October.
