The Charlie Strong Era is over this time, we mean it. After a 31-9 loss at the hands of TCU today, it is just a matter of not if but when the Longhorns make it official. Reaction of the abysmal effort by the team poured in from Twitter after the game.
"i came here to win a national championship and I came here to change lives." Charlie Strong only accomplished one of those things at Texas.

Total disbelief. Really thought our boys would show some heart and fight for Charlie Strong's job more than this. This really sucks 🐂🤘🏻

What does this now mean for Tom Herman? Just a few hours ago, he costs his team a win due to a week of distractions about his impending departure. It’s a given that Texas will come in with a strong offer for his services, however will it be enough for him to turn down LSU?
What if Tom Herman Says No?
If Herman says no to Texas, will Les Miles get the call? The former LSU coach is familiar with the school, as his daughter attends currently. What about Lane Kiffin? The former USC and Tennessee head coach has had an amazing run as Nick Saban’s offensive coordinator, and should the Tide cap off another undefeated season with a national title, this would be the perfect time to ride off to a head coaching job.
The one name being mentioned more and more recently is current North Carolina coach Larry Fedora. He wouldn’t be their first pick (just like Charlie Strong wasn’t), however he has turned around the Tar Heels program, and this would be an ideal time for him to step into a bigger assignment.
