Colin Kaepernick worst game ever

Colin Kaepernick has the worst day of his career

How bad can things get for Colin Kaepernick this season? He was benched for Blaine Gabbert for the second time, as his stat line against the Bears was embarassing. Kaepernick was sacked 5 times, had 4 passing yards, and looked lost and disinterested at many times during the game.

News also spread that Kaepernick will officially opt out of his current deal, and become a free agent at the end of the season. That is not a surprise, since he put his house on the market last week.

Kaepernick had played relatively well in November, throwing 8 touchdowns to only 2 interceptions, and keeping San Francisco in many games. Today’s blowout loss to Chicago does not fall all on his shoulders, however it’s safe to say we have probably seen the last of him this year.

As for the 49ers, sitting at 1-11, they have secure hold on the 2nd overall pick in the upcoming draft. They play the pitiful New York Jets next week, who may be looking to tank the rest of the year themselves. Road games at the Falcons and Rams, and then a New Years Day gimme against Seattle should have San Francisco end 1-15.

Chip Kelly coached Sunday’s game, just two days after being notified of the passing of his father. Kelly flew home to New Hampshire on Friday, and returned back to Chicago to be with the team today.
