College Football Weekend Predictions
The stage is set for one of the wildest finishes to a college football season in recent memory. Things kick off Friday night when Washington looks to erase the East Coast bias that has surrounded the college football playoff. Saturday night, we will see if Penn State can finish the miracle run and win the Big 10 Championship. In between all of that action lies some exciting games featuring title contenders with lots to lose.
Washington vs. Colorado
9PM – FOX
The Huskies have the national stage to show the college football playoff committee and the nation how good they can be. Luckily for them USC won’t be there. Just like we predicted last week, Huskies roll big, and put an exclamation point on their playoff resume.
Pick: Washington 34 Colorado 20
Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma
Since we don’t think the Sooners have any chance to make the playoff, don’t be surprised if the Cowboys steal this one late.
Pick: Oklahoma State 30 Oklhahoma 28
Alabama vs. Florida
Nick Saban doesn’t want to hear anything about it being ok with his team losing a game. Expect ‘Bama to come out pissed off, for no reason at all. Saban, the master motivator, will somehow spin the media talk around his team to get the most out of them. Bama puts this away early.
Alabama 31 Florida 9
Clemson vs. Virginia Tech
Saturday night’s game in Orlando could be very interesting depending on what happens earlier in the day. We expect the Tigers to win, but the Hokies defense will make Clemson’s fanbase nervous.
Pick: Clemson 27 Virginia Tech 16
Wisconsin vs. Penn State
The Nittany Lions argument to be included in the college football playoff is as strong as any, especially if they win against the Badgers. This is a career defining game
If Alabama loses – they still will be in, but at #2
If Clemson loses – they are out.
If Washington loses – they are out.
If Penn State loses – they are out.
If Wisconsin loses – they are out.
