Cowboys beat Redskins behind Zeke’s Big Day
The Cowboys improved to 10-1, with a decisive victory at home against the rival Redskins today. Powered by an offense which arguably is the most potent in the league, Dallas was in control of the game the entire way. MVP and Rookie of the Year candidate Ezekiel Elliott overwhelmed Washington’s defense much of the 1st half, and when the game was on the line came up with a key touchdown to seal the win in the 4th.
Washington was inside the Dallas 20 yard line twice in the first half, only to be turned away with 0 points thanks to missed field goals by Dustin Hopkins. They ended up scoring 20 points in the 4th quarter, with Kirk Cousins leading the way with 449 yards passing and 3 touchdowns.
Dallas has now won their 10th game in a row, a feat this franchise has never achieved before. Dak Prescott didn’t win the statistical head-to-head against Kirk Cousins, but he did enough (16 for 23, 187 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT) for the win. The Cowboys travel to Minnesota next Thursday night for another potential playoff preview. The Vikings lost their Thanksgiving day game 16-13 to the NFC North leading Lions. Washington (6-4-1) has 10 days off before heading to Arizona on December 4th.
After the game, Dez Bryant and Josh Norman got together to exchange their Christmas lists.
