Darrelle Revis doesn’t want to play anymore
A New York Daily News column took shots at Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, and his play since returning to the Jets. It knocks the 31 year old’s desire to stay in shape and play anymore.
“He’s done,” a Revis confidant told the Daily News. “If he had his way, he’d be done right now. He doesn’t want to play anymore. He’s made a lot of money.”
Revis is making $17 million dollars this year, and still has three years remaining on a $70 million dollar contract. New York has made some bad decisions of late, i.e starting Ryan Fitzpatrick when you are out of the playoff race. The Revis deal may be the worst transaction in Jets history.
Darrelle Revis Burned by DeAndre Hopkins
Two of the best young receivers in the league made Darrelle Revis look silly in the past 12 months. Last week, Malcolm Mitchell scored two touchdowns on him, as Tom Brady and the Patriots dared Revis to make a play. Revis didn’t, and the Pats won. The future Hall of Fame cornerback is well past his prime, and unless his effort changes, New York will be the only ones on an island – in last place.
