DeMarcus Cousins Time in Sacramento Almost Over?
On a recent segment of TNT’s Inside The NBA, Hall of Fame center, and Sacramento Kings minority owner Shaquille O’ Neal, made his thoughts known about the best player in Sacramento, DeMarcus Cousins. O’Neal expressed that Cousins was “a hothead” and “lacked leadership” needed by the young core of players. Cousins, who many thought would have been traded last season, may be on his way out as early as the All Star break this February.
Of course, everyone is and will deny the story only a few weeks into this season. Don’t be surprised if the Cousins trade rumors get a little louder as they fall further down the playoff standings. The 26 year old former Kentucky Wildcat is entering the prime of his career, and with just one year remaining on his current deal, will get plenty of interest from many teams. Cousins is currently averaging 26.6 points and 8.6 rebounds a game.
