DeShone Kizer expected to go early in draft
Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer announced on Twitter that he will bypass his senior year at Notre Dame and enter the 2017 NFL Draft. Kizer shared his plans in detail below:
“I have an opportunity to continue my football career in the NFL. My family and I have taken the last couple weeks to collect all the necessary information to make a decision that will impact our future.”

Kizer threw 26 touchdowns with 9 interceptions in what was a difficult 4-8 season at Notre Dame this fall. Many have projected Kizer to be a top 10 pick, with Chicago being an ideal destination. The Bears are currently 3-10 and will be moving on from Jay Cutler at season’s end. The latest CBS Sports NFL Mock Draft has Kizer slipping to Arizona at number 11.
