Doc Rivers Ejected Tuesday Night
We aren’t sure what made Doc Rivers more upset Tuesday night, getting a technical foul during overtime vs. Brooklyn, or the fact his Clippers lost a road game to the Nets.
Doc drew a second technical foul after getting the first one, with 18 seconds left in the first overtime. Rivers noted in the post game interview he was disgusted by his team’s play in the second half, which blew an 18 point lead letting Brooklyn in. Rivers saw Sean Kilpatrick light up his team for a career high 38 points and 14 rebounds, and LA lost a 3rd straight game. Doc’s son, Austin Rivers, shed some light from the player’s view.
“We were saying to the media a week ago, We’re the best team in the NBA, we’re the best team in the NBA, we feel like this is our year,” Austin Rivers said. “We’ve dropped three in the row to teams that are nowhere near as good as us. You know what I mean? They outplayed us.
As the Clippers swoon heading into November, Golden State is on the rise. The 16-2 Warriors have won 12 games in a row, and play the Clippers on December 7th.
