Dolphins keep playoff hopes alive with win in Buffalo
Matt Moore has the Miami Dolphins on the brink of a playoff birth. Miami won in Buffalo in overtime Saturday, in a highly contested game between two teams with plenty to play for. The Bills were not only trying to keep their slim postseason hopes alive, but also were playing for the potential jobs of current coach Rex Ryan and quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
Jay Ajayi ran over the Bills defense for 206 yards and a score, and Andrew Franks hit a chip shot field goal in overtime to secure the 34-31 win. Miami now sits at 10-5 and hosts the Patriots next week in a must win for them. New England can secure homefield throughout the AFC playoffs if the Raiders lose to the Colts later today, or with a win next week. Last season, New England was in the same exact scenario heading into Week 17, and lost in Miami. Of course, Tom Brady and company ended up playing the AFC Championship in Denver, and lost.
