Ezekiel Elliott jumps into Salvation Army Kettle
When you are the rookie of the year and your team is 12-2, jumping into an oversized Salvation Army kettle is acceptable. Life is good for Ezekiel Elliot, who after scoring his 13th touchdown Sunday night hopped into a Salvation Army kettle on the sideline. The Cowboys won the game 26-20, and Zeke spoke on why he did it in the postgame interview.
“I mean it’s just sitting there right in the end zone, you know. It’s the perfect celebration,” Elliot said after the game. “They’re one of our biggest partners, so I had to show them a little bit of love.”
People may forget Zeke and Dak Prescott were among the Cowboys serving Thanksgiving dinner to those in need last month.
The Cowboys host the Detroit Lions next Monday night in what is a playoff game for Matt Stafford and company. A loss to Dallas could knock them out of the playoffs. Green Bay is one game behind (8-6) and face the Vikings and Lions to end the year. If the Packers win out, they are in the playoffs. Dallas is still trying to secure homefield throughout the playoffs, and need to win next Monday to accomplish that.
The New York Giants can still obtain the number one seed in the NFC with two wins (at Philly, at Washington), and two Cowboys losses.
