Huskies Lock Up Playoff Spot Friday Night

Washington wins Pac 12 Title, Dominates Colorado

The Huskies closing argument to the college football playoff committee was convincing, as they collectively ran for 265 yards and a pair of scores in a 41-10 win Friday night. Colorado’s offense never got into a rhythm, as the team’s quarterbacks combined to go 8 for 25 with 3 interceptions. The Huskies’ Jake Browning didn’t fare much better himself (9 for 24) but his 2 passing scores put the game away.

Washington enters Saturday in our projected playoff as the 4 seed. Clemson still will get the nod to be the 3 seed overall with a win over Virginia Tech Saturday night, and Alabama can wrap up the top seed overall in the SEC championship game with a win.

A Huskies fan wasn’t scared to let the committee and the world know who she wanted her team to face New Years Eve:

Those hoping a 2 loss Michigan team could somehow sneak into the playoff now have to pull for some upsets this weekend. The Wolverines do have the #2 ranked toughest schedule in the country, and played the Ohio State Buckeyes to a virtual tie last week. Unfortunately for Michigan, they don’t have another game to help their cause.
